The
Penn Relays have been a staple in Philadelphia for many years and for
the past 10 years Urban Socialite has not only been that same staple in
Philadelphia night life, it has also sponsored at least one official
Penn Relay Weekend event. This year will be no different as we also
introduce you to the new weekly event entitled, MUST BE THE MUSIC.
Anyone can get a few hundred people in a building but not everyone knows the secret on how to keep them. It's not free admission, it's not free sample sips and its surely not a paid celebrity host. Our answer is simple, it MUST BE THE MUSIC.
The timeless art that can change a mood and in some cases, change a life. We can all connect to a certain point in our life when we hear that one song that takes us there. It could be a childhood memory, good times in middle, high school or a college experience. It can even be something from last week but when we hear that song it's like a key to a special place that sometime only you or a few select people can truly appreciate what it means when YOU say, "that's my jam!"
MUST BE THE MUSIC is not and old school event, but it does require an extensive love for real party music. Our long list of great Philly DJs are looking forward to putting together sets for the crowds that want to hear Tribe mixed with some Kendrick Lamar and some how incorporate that rock and roll party song that was a guilty pleasure that you thought was only yours. We are seriously about to change the face of the Philly scene because the jeans and blazers along with the cocktail dress with stilettos has a real party scene to enjoy on Friday nights.
Our location of choice, Azure Ultra Lounge, was one of your favorite party spots between 2004 and 2006 when we hosted the House Party at Fiso Lounge. This venue has since been remodeled to provide you with more dancing, lounge space, VIP booths and private rooms by request. There is also an outdoor roof deck, glass sky bar and patio tiki bar to give you some much needed indoor/outdoor action. It's a completely different decor and aesthetically makes more sense.
