FILM: "At the River's Edge" that details the last years of Dr. King's life and activism.
PRESENTATION: Ewuare X. Osayande, author of 'Commemorating King: Speeches Honoring the Civil Rights Movement' and editor of 'Stand Our Ground: Poems for Trayvon Martin and Marissa Alexander.'
50 Years since the Civil Rights Act and we are witnessing a renewed attack on voting rights, the re-segregation of public schools, gentrification, mass incarceration, and entrenched job discrimination. If these conditions are to change, then we must be the ones to change them! Join us as we learn from our past and organize for our future!
