Plenty Of Great Fun at The Water Front this Summer and Into The Fall.






Philadelphia’s Tri State Labor Parade and AFL-CIO Family Festival

This parade and festival, produced by the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO, begins with a parade at 1301 S. Columbus Blvd and culminates at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing with face painters, magicians, a craft center, Eurobungy, Survivor Island, Rollin’ Raceway, music from the Urban Guerilla Orchestra and a wide variety of food and much more.

Visitors can enjoy regional artists’ performances presented by FringeArts, just across from their future home on the waterfront, and then stroll up Race Street to explore the galleries in Old City. This week’s event features a Taste of Fringe with 6-8 performance artists who will give the audience a sneak peek at their upcoming Fringe Festival Productions.

Coast Day from the Delaware to the Schuylkill Waterfronts

Organized with the Partnership for the Delaware River Estuary, and part of the WHYY Connections Festival, Coast Day from the Delaware to the Schuylkill Waterfronts is the opportunity to see what the Pennsylvania coast has to boast. Coast Day is free fun that the entire family can enjoy, featuring visiting fireboats, free kayak and swan boat rentals, free ferry rides, the PA Tug Boat Festival, Coastie the river mascot and many other kids activities.

WHYY Connections Festival Concerts

The third annual WHYY Connections Festival, in conjunction with Coast Day, is a FREE concert featuring performances by They Might Be Giants, Ben Kweller, Jesse Ruben, Hezekiah Jones and Khari Mateen. Sunday’s lineup will feature The Soul Survivors and The Sensational Soul Cruisers as well as performances by legendary doo wop groups, Temple University's Owlcappella, and much more (Performers and schedule subject to change).

The Delaware River Waterfront's newest series, this Thursday night music event features some of Philadelphia's top local talent. Nights are curated by a collective of artists, producers, and promoters, and feature a wide-range of bands and DJs. This finale show features Chill Moody.

Recovery Walks

PRO-ACT will host its 12th annual Recovery Walk to show that recovery from addiction is real. The purpose of Recovery Walks! 2013 is to provide hope to others; for people to do their part in reducing the stigma of the disease of addiction; to educate the media; to celebrate SAMHSA’s Recovery Month; to honor people and organizations that provide services for the recovery community; to honor those who have not survived this disease; and to raise funds so that PRO-ACT can continue to expand its services to the growing number of individuals and families who wish to access and sustain long-term recovery.

Mexican Independence Day Festival

Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency Philadelphia

Registration Needed
The Walk For Primary Immunodeficiency is a family-friendly walk. Participants will raise money ahead of time, and will gather on the day of the event to walk a marked route as part of a community building and awareness raising effort for our patient community. This event is organized by the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
