Justice For Trayvon and Justice For All...An Editorial From Raymond Tyler

REAL JUSTICE IS ABOUT MORE THAN JUST A HOODIE!

Question: For everyone on Facebook posting "outrage" about the Zimmerman trial. Would you be willing to boycott the entire state of Florida for a year?

Can people  believe in THAT JUSTICE?

Can the people that TRULY believe MURDER is Wrong?

Can We Say..."If You Do Not Convict Zimmerman?"

We will not do South Beach...Nor do business with south Beach.

We will not buy Heat, Dolphins, Hurricanes, Jacksonville, Marlins, Ect. gear. No sports tickets and we won't watch any games featuring those teams.

WHO IS REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT JUSTICE? Not just for Trayvon but for my niece, your own children, our children still here?

I have contended since the murder of Yusef Hawkins...BLACK PEOPLE ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT OUR FREEDOM! America Knows That!

REAL Justice In AMERICA TODAY...Requires...More than a facebook status.

What WE Need is...

SACRIFICE-There are more important things then going to celebrity parties and buying out the bar.

SERIOUSNESS-Real discussions about change and opportunity. Real Housewives can be a guilty pleasure but it should not be confused with a "career move" or "come up."

GETTING BACK TO BASICS-Re-Programming our kids to have real goals. Re-programming our kids to understand that reading is not corny. Math is not for sissies. WE HAVE TO STOP DOING ANY DAMN THING FOR A DOLLAR! Raising our boys to be PIMPS and THUGS instead of KINGS is not COOL. And raising our daughters to be STRIPPERS and SIDE PIECES that get nice jewelry IS NOT CUTE.

KEEPING IT REAL AND RIGHT-Young Black THUGS and GANG BANGERS have a uniform whether we want to admit it or not. WE NEED TO STOP ALLOWING OUR KIDS TO DRESS LIKE THEY ARE HEADED TO PENITENTIARY.

Am I saying that Trayvon should have been killed because of the way he looked? No.

What I am saying is months before the murders of Trayvon Martin and Troy Davis, I tried to discuss the murder of other black people like Latasha Harlins, Eleanor Bumpers, and others. Many of the same people "enraged" about Trayvon Martin...felt that I was bringing up "old ish from the past." Many of the poets I spoke to just said things that were more ignorant than the people that never claimed to be "enlightened."

I haven't said much about Trayvon on the web because I know...it doesn't mean much.

The truth is most of the folks "enraged" about Trayvon will be partying in Miami even as another child will be murdered. Then as now, they will be willing to sacrifice nothing more than a Facebook status or a Tweet.

And America knows that better than I do.
